European Investment Bank (EIB) Complaints Mechanism
Individuals, organizations, or corporations which have been affected by EIB activities may bring complaints to this Mechanism; they do not have to have been directly affected by a particular EIB decision, action, or omission. Complaints can address any aspect of the planning, execution, or impact of EIB projects, such as access to information, incorporation of affected communities in the decision-making process, or social or environmental impacts of the project. The Complaints Mechanism will attempt to find a solution to the problem and will recommend corrective action to the EIB, if necessary. If the complainant is not satisfied with the Complaints Mechanism's decision, then he or she may request that the European Ombudsman review the Complaints Mechanism's handling of the complaint to ensure that it had acted reasonably.
